WWII submarine simulator/survival UBOOT system requirements revealed

Check out the minimum system requirements of UBOOT, a WWII submarine simulator/survival inspired by Silent Hunter and This War of Mine, which is coming to PC early next year.

Remember UBOOT, a World War II submarine simulator inspired by Silent Hunter and the survival mechanics of This War of Mine and Fallout Shelter, which we wrote about back in May? Since then the game has gone through a successful Kickstarter campaign having gathered almost twice as much as the developers at Polish Deep Water Studio asked for (the final turnout was a little over CAD 38,000). UBOOT is currently at an advanced development stage, and its Steam page has been updated with minimum system requirements. The game is due out on PC in January 2017.

Minimum system requirements

  1. Processor: Core i3 3.1 GHz or AMD Phenom II X3 2.8 GHz
  2. Video card: GeForce GTX 560 or Radeon HD 6870 1GB VRAM
  3. RAM: 4 GB
  4. Hard disk space: 4 GB
  5. OS: Windows XP SP3 / Vista / 7 / 8

Interestingly, the description provided on Valve’s digital store mentions multiplayer – this was supposed to be the CAD 50,000 stretch goal, but this stage hasn’t been reached. Apparently, multiplayer is coming anyway. What’s more, UBOOT is going to offer a single player campaign set during WWII. You’ll get to play as a captain of a German submarine and take part in multiple military operation in various regions of the globe. Your main job, however, will be to take care of your crew. Each member is going to have his own appearance, personality and character traits as well as unique strengths and weaknesses. Taking all this under consideration will be essential for their physical and mental state. You’ll also have to maintain your Uboot and equip the boat with brand new technologies of the era.
