The next Brothers in Arms game appears to be in works

Gearbox Software may be silently working on the next Brothers in Arms game. This title appeared on the list of games affected by the strike of American screen actors.

While Gearbox Software’s last big project Battleborn is slowly dying (there are currently about a hundred people playing on Steam with the 24-hour peak at a little below three hundred – see Steam Charts), the developers seem to have switched their efforts to something new. The next game they’re working on is reportedly a new Brothers in Arms. Although there aren’t any official announcements on that matter, this title appears on the list of video game projects affected by the strike of Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television.

Gearbox first informed about the next Brother in Arms game being made in early 2013, and have been silent ever since. That was soon after the cancelation of Brothers in Arms: Furious 4, which met with much disapproval of fans, who didn’t like its non-serious approach inspired by Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards. The last big installment in this popular series of World War II tactical shooters was 2008’s Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, which was warmly welcomed by fans. We only hope the project mentioned on the list is not another mobile game.
