Obsidian’s Tyranny is out today

Have you been looking forward to playing as the bad guy lording over little ones in a fantasy realm dominated by evil? Today, you can satisfy those desires by playing Tyranny, Obsidian Entertainment's next classic RPG.

Today marks the release of Tyranny, the latest computer role-playing game from true veterans of the genre, Obsidian Entertainment, the creators of such hits as Pillars of Eternity, Fallout: New Vegas, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic II. The game is going to be unlocked on Steam in just a couple of hours at 8 AM PST / 4 PM GMT. Hence, this is the last chance to get your hand on pre-order bonus stuff. Apart from its “be-the-bad-guy” twist, Tyranny stands out with the variety of consequences to the player’s choices. Even before you start playing, the game will let ask you several questions about the course of the war that lead to the fantasy realm having been conquered by evil Kyros the Overlord. Depending on your answers some regions will change and some people may react differently to your character. As Kyros’ officer you will also be given power to determine the fate of thousands in the course of your mission to subdue the last opposing land.
