Might & Magic Showdown to be revealed later today

Might & Magic Showdown is most likely the title of the next installment in the cult fantasy franchise, to be announced later today.

The next installment in the Might & Magic series will be revealed today at 12 P.M. EST (9 P.M. PST / 5 P.M. GMT) and livestreamed an hour later on Twitch – perhaps we will get to see some proper gameplay footage? This information was shared by Ubisoft on Watch Dogs 2’s Twitter account. Why there? Because it was the hacker-themed action sandbox where the first hint on the new Might & Magic appeared, namely in Dolores Park Hackerspace (see the picture below).

Another hint, as noted by a NeoGAF user, was spotted in a Ubisoft mission in Watch Dogs 2 – there was a Might & Magic Showdown poster on the office wall. For those of you who thought that was just an easter egg – Might & Magic Showdown is a thing, as it is listed in Steam database and tied to Uplay.

It looks like the next installment in the popular fantasy series really is Might & Magic Showdown. But what is that exactly? To be honest, the name doesn’t sound very hardcore. It rather suggests a sort of free-to-play online game, perhaps a MOBA or an FPP action title like Mirage: Arcane Warfare. Let’s wait for an official announcement before we get too excited.
