Here's a compilation of permadeaths in Torment: Tides of Numenera (because why not?)

Torment: Tides of Numenera has a really cool feature just like Planescape – you can't really die in combat, it's all part of the gameplay. But what if you're a bad person and you actually want to kill your character? It's possible!

Today all fans of the RPG genre have a reason to rejoice. The day has finally come and you can now play the full version of Torment: Tides of Numenera. The game has been available via Steam Early Access since January 26, 2016 and received quite a lot of positive reviews (though they definitely didn’t emphasise the graphics).

Just like in Planescape Torment released in 1999, Numenera uses a gameplay feature thanks to which you cannot die – every time you get a killing blow in combat, you go back to a hub called The Labirynth (alternatively you can refer to this place as the Calm). Does this mean that you can’t die? Not exactly!

Although the game makes sure that you can’t be permanently bested in combat, this is a classic RPG and you need to be careful with your words. We prepared a short video compilation of how you can actually achieve permadeath, which will require you to load a previously saved game. So if you want to kill your character (you are a bad person if you do, you know that?), this is how you go about it.

If you don’t have the game yet, you can always get it on Steam and try to do that sick stuff to your character on your own.
