NieR: Automata, a successful Japanese third-person action-RPG, is soon to get its first DLC, entitled 3C3C1D119440927. This one will be first out in Japan on May 2, 2017, while the release date for other regions is still unknown. The uniquely titled piece of extra content is going to introduce three new colosseums to fight on, plus additional sub-quests. Here you can watch the first gameplay footage from the add-on, shared by Square Enix:
Completing new quests is rewarded with a bunch of goodies. Some of these are three costumes from NieR: Replicant, the previous installment in the franchise, for androids: Revealing Outfit for 2B, Young Man’s Outfit for 9S and Destroyer Outfit for A2. Beside these, there are extra music tracks for the players’ jukebox, new equipment and cosmetic asscessories (such as hairspray), masks with unique properties, and special bullets for enemies.
Even if you don’t care much about the new DLC, NieR: Automata is definitely worth checking out. Having launched this March on PC and PlayStation 4, the game earned lots of highly positive reviews, praising its fun combat mechanics (kudos, Platinum Games) and intriguing story.
