Missing in action – the most anticipated games lost in development hell

Half-Life 3, Fallout 4 and others - when it comes to video games, there are many titles that despite great anticipation, still haven’t been released. We present you our list of the most interesting of such titles, which we have graded.

Table of Contents

Every art form features a work that, despite being yearned for, is often lost or completely forgotten. For example, in music that was the case of the Chinese Democracy album by Guns N’ Roses (Guns fans had to patiently wait for 15 years). In movies, one could point at Tron (the sequel was 28 years in the making) or the new Mad Max (next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the release of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome - the last part of the trilogy starring Mel Gibson), and there are countless more lost (just like the fabled Montezuma’s treasure). Obviously, video games couldn’t lag behind. Until recently, the textbook example of vaporware – a game that was announced, produced, but couldn’t get released for a long time – was Duke Nukem Forever. Although even now, it isn’t hard to make a list of such titles. Check out our compilation of the most promising games, that went missing in action, just like Colonel James Braddock. Every featured game will be graded with, what else but Chucks.
