If you are afraid that Outlast 2 may be too demanding for your good old PC, worry not. The official system requirements aren’t very high – you just need Intel Core i3-530, 4 GB RAM and GeForce GTX 260 to run the game in 720p at 30 fps. Outlast 2 is likely going to be a worthy successor of the first Outlast, which has become a paragon of what a modern first-person survival horror should be. While the first game and its expansion were set in an abandoned asylum turned into a hideous research facility, the sequel puts you in the shoes of a journalist stranded somewhere on the fields of Arizona, surrounded by lunatic cultists.
The guys at Red Barrels have finally revealed the release date of Outlast 2, the upcoming sequel to one of the scariest horror action adventure games of the recent years. The second installment will start freaking us out on April 24, 2017. Like its predecessor, Outlast 2 is coming out on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Outlast 2 is going to be sold digitally or bundled with the original Outlast and its expansion Outlast: Whistleblower, dubbed Outlast Trinity.
Red Barrels have a nice surprise for all those who are waiting impatiently for Outlast 2, recently delayed to early 2017. The game has now received a free demo, which you can download for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 until November 1, 2016 – which means you can celebrate this year’s Halloween by playing Outlast 2 after all. Although the demo doesn’t show off all the features and locations, this playable chunk of what the developers have been working on gives you a good idea of what the full game is going to be like.
Outlast 2, the sequel to one of the most frightening survival horrors of the recent years, has been officially delayed to early 2017. The developers at Red Barrels explained that they made this decision, because they felt they need a bit more time to make the game reach its full potential and serve as a worthy successor to the first Outlast. This next installment is going to be set in rural parts of Arizona. The new story will feature sinister sects, Satanic rituals and other horrific acts inspired by the mass suicide at Jonestown in 1978.
Outlast II, a sequel to a well-received survival horror game from 2013, was officially revealed through a new teaser trailer published by Red Barrels. The game will develop on the motives of human wickedness, desperation, and blind faith. We don’t now much more about the game itself yet, despite it is slated for release in Fall 2016.
