Sniper Elite 4 Deathstorm three-part DLC is going to take you up north

The first story-based DLC for Sniper Elite 4 has been announced to launch on March 21, 2017 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Sniper Elite 4 Deathstorm Part 1: Inception is the opening chapter of a three part mini-campaign, set after the events in the original game. After having helped liberate the southern part of Italy, Karl Fairburne heads to the icy northern regions the country, to a recently bombarded Nazi naval base. Along with that comes a skin pack plus a free game mode and map.

Sniper Elite 4 and For Honor launch today

Today marks the release of two major games: Rebellion’s Sniper Elite 4 and Ubisoft’s For Honor – both are available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. According to some early reviews and players’ opinions, both games are pretty good, which is certainly great news. The new edition of the popular sniper game series is generally more of what fans know and like, with only some minor changes to gameplay. As for the Ubisoft’s original sword combat game, it lets players engage in spectacular battles between Knights, Vikings and Samurai, featuring satisfying direction-based combat.

Sniper Elite 4 gets a new trailer featuring the game's protagonist

Sniper Elite 4 has got a new trailer, which briefly presents the background story of the series main protagonist, Karl Fairburne, one of the most effective operatives of the British SOE. The man has already proved his worth as an excellent sniper in many dangerous missions, such as in the one in North Africa, featured in the previous game, but now he’s about to face his ultimate challenge in Italy. Alone, deep behind enemy lines, he will have to aid the local resistance and take down key Nazi targets using his remarkable marksmanship and creativity.

Sniper Elite 4 first official gameplay trailer featuring brutal X-ray kills

Sniper Elite 4 has got the first official gameplay trailer, which showcases some brutal X-ray vision kills at both close quarters and long range. Ways to take down Nazis will be countless – from knife blows, kicks in the face, punches in the belly, or pushing enemies off a cliff to bullets piercing inner organs, knocking heavy objects down at guards, blowing up stuff, etc. Pre-ordering the game before the release (February 14, 2017) will get you the Target Führer DLC for free.

Sniper Elite 4: first gameplay video showing off X-ray kills and climbing

A several-minute long pre-alpha gameplay video from Sniper Elite 4 was posted online, showing off some of the game’s key features. The fourth installment in the sniping series will bring back the brutal X-ray kill camera, but also introduce some new things. The player will be able to draw the guards’ attention with a whistle, as well as climb up on walls and rooftops. Additionally, the game will offer much bigger locations than any individual level we saw in Sniper Elite 3.
