Train Mechanic Simulator 2017 Review – I like trains

Game ReviewMarch 29, 2017 - by ElMundo

I like trains... Yeah, not really. Somehow, though, I spent my childhood playing games that revolved around them. This year, thanks to the Train Mechanic Simulator 2017, I finally had the chance to look "under the hood" of an railway engine. That's the latest rendition of the so-called "mechanic simulator" genre, which has been making waves recently. The visuals are not their strongest point, and if you lack patience, you'll simply get bored to death. If, however, mechanical things are just your cup of tea and/or trains are your life-long passion, you'll be more than pleased with this game. There will be some technical issues along the way, but all in all it will be a decent ride for anyone who's aware what they're signing up for.

NewsMarch 29, 2017 - by luckie

On the horizon there is yet another game incoming that approaches war from the perspective of civilians. Attentat 1942 tells the story of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, a high-ranking Nazi official, killed in 1942 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. The tale is told from the perspective of the now old participants of these dramatic events, who survived brutal repercussions during the WWII. Apart from its unique art style, Attentat 1942 also has a great historical value as it conveys real stories and historical facts and materials.

Call of Duty: WWII rumored to be this year's installment

Sources close to Eurogamer have reported that the next installment in the immensely popular series of first person shooters is called Call of Duty: WWII. Of course, these revelations haven’t been confirmed by Activision Blizzard just yet, but that’s not the first we’ve heard about that. A couple of days ago a few graphics were shared on Reddit showing off the game’s box cover art. Besides, not so long ago Activision teased fans by saying the next game will take Call of Duty back to its roots.

Red Dead Redemption 2 release date possibly leaked

NewsMarch 27, 2017 - by luckie

Red Dead Redemption 2 could be launching on October 3, 2017 – such information appeared on the product page in an online store of a popular Polish retailer Media Markt. The date was soon changed to an obvious placeholder, but before that happened a Polish game news website reported that they had received a confirmation of the date from the store. Later on, however, the store retracted that original statement. Could that have been due to a fear of an NDA violation?

Kona Review – spooky Canadian survival

Game ReviewMarch 27, 2017 - by Hubert Sosnowski

Around this time last year, the awe after the release of Firewatch – a walking simulator in which, according to some, nothing ever happened – was slowly wearing off. That game met with great critical acclaim thanks to its story, characters and mechanics, no doubt, but perhaps even more important was its unique atmosphere. A year and a month later, we get Kona – a game in many respects similar to Firewatch (except the snow) and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (except there are no astronauts to chase). But does it actually have the legs to stack up against these classics of survival/walking sims?

EditorialMarch 24, 2017 - by Michal Manka

This time around we’ll take a look at the first expansion, Hearts of Stone, and analyze how its main plot theme is built around a character taken straight from a Polish legend. Enjoy the second part of our Polish Witcher Trivia series.

Battle.net transformation begins now

NewsMarch 24, 2017 - by luckie

Battle.net’s rebranding has now begun, as the official app changed its name to Blizzard App and got rid of the Battle.net logo. That shift was announced by Blizzard Entertainment six months ago, but so far no changes have been noticed. The official website still exists as Battle.net with no visible changes, but that is probably going to end in the near future. Note that at its core, Blizzard’s online service will remain unchanged – the only thing that’s going to be different is the name.
