Rainbow Six: Siege next patch to crack down on teamkillers

Teammate killers in Rainbow Six: Siege as well as those who exploited Caveira's interview should be wary from now on. The next patch is to introduce countermeasures against such bullies.

A new patch is coming up for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, tactical online first-person shooter from Ubisoft. “If you’ve been repeatedly griefed by the same teammate in Rainbow Six Siege, or watched one interrogation victim too many slip out of Caveira’s grasp, then Patch 4.3 might bring a sigh of relief” – states the news on Ubisoft’s blog. The update is said to bring “measeures designed to prevent players from bullying teammates”, next to a standard portion of bug fixes and tweaks to the stability of servers.

Those who kill the same teammate more than once will face standard team-killing penalties (listed here), which include temporary bans from matchmaking or even a permanent ban of the player’s account. Moreover, Caveira interrogation has been fixed too. Previously, victims could interrupt an interrogation by quitting the match. Now, however, quitting won’t stop Caveira from getting the information. The 4.3 patch should be live today on PC and on October 18 (or later) on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.
