Fallout 76 is now available for all interested gamers. The premiere took place a few hours earlier than originally planned – some players reported successful login attempts as early as 5 p.m., yesterday. When launched, the game greeted them with a message informing about the need to wait for the premiere, but after a moment of waiting, they could click on the "Play" button and start playing without any further problems.
Players who want to explore the wasteland destroyed by atomic bombs – and, at the same time, have Nvidia graphics cards in their PC – should also consider downloading the new driver package, numbered 416.94. The drivers improve performance in this title (as well as Battlefield V and Hitman 2). The package is available here.
Fallout 76 is the latest game in series with roots dating back to 1997. Unlike the previous iterations (which are fully fledged RPGs), we are dealing with a cooperative shooter with character advancement and a number of mechanics typically associated with survival games, like Rust or ARK: Survival Evolved. The title caused a lot of controversy – both in connection with some of the developers' ideas (e.g. lack of NPCs), as well as the disturbing state, in which it was in, just a few weeks before the premiere.
