Video Games Perfect to Play on Holidays

The vacation season is the perfect time to catch up on gaming or take some title with you on a vacation trip. Spice up both the holiday itself, when nothing more interesting is going on at the moment, and the sometimes lengthy trip.

Table of Contents

I assume that for some of you, summer is a time when you play less, because you are lounging on the beach, walking in the mountains, or visiting new places. Finally, it's vacation time, which you dedicate to rest. However, you can spice it up a bit just by playing games, which I will try to cheerfully persuade you to do. And before we head in – a disclaimer: take this text with a grain of salt, we wanted to have some fun with it. Because here, you will find only... mobile games!

Wait, what? Mobile?! No worries, I don't expect you to reach for your phones right away (but I know you have them!). The idea behind this compilation are games that we can take with us on vacation. It means that you will play them on a smartphone, Switch or Steam Deck. And most importantly, this list is not finished - I would be happy to read about the games you're plan to take on vacation.

Relaxation on a hammock with Marvel Snap

Genre: card game

Platforms: iOS, AND, Steam Deck

Price: free-to-play

Imagine this situation: you are lounging on a hammock under palm trees in the Caribbean Islands or in Detroit, just resting. Slowly, however, you start to feel bored – but you don't really feel like doing anything specific. So you grab your smartphone and launch Marvel Snap, try few rounds between one nap and another.

Ben Brode, guy who created the fastest card game on the market, the Hearthstone - is responsible for Marvel Snap. One game here takes only three minutes in total, so you don't have to worry about long sessions. Swinging in the hammock, you glance at the screen with only one eye. Relaxation stays uninterrupted, but at the same time life provide a bit of excitement. You don't have to worry about the complicated deck building, because in Marvel Snap there are only twelve cards, and none of them are duplicates.

This may sound a bit modest, especially compared to a game like Magic: The Gathering or Gwent, but it works perfectly in practice. Marvel Snap is a quick card game, perfect when you only have a short moment to spare, and at the same time providing quite a lot of fun. The whole genre in the form of a small pill.
