FAR CRY: NEW DAWN IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Developer: Ubisoft
  2. Publisher: Ubisoft
  3. Genre: FPS
  4. Platforms: PC, XONE, PS4
  5. Release date: February 15, 2019.

Far Cry: New Dawn, the post-apocalyptic open-world shooter from Ubisoft has launched. The game launched on PC, as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

It is worth mentioning that in the case of a PC release, the title is currently available only through Uplay. On Steam, production will be available in the evening.

Many game reviews have already appeared on the web. Most of them concern the PlayStation 4 version, which currently has an average rating of 73% on Metacritic.

In general, reviewers praise the atmosphere and interest mission-design. The game is criticized mainly for its weak plot, the greatest disappointment of which are the twin antagonists. It wasn't a good idea to introduce RPG elements as well. While it worked well in the Assassin's Creed series, in the case of Far Cry, it slightly spoils the game's long-standing mechancs, causing some enemies to become bullet sponges.

Moreover, it cannot be denied that the game is basicallly a Far Cry 5 rehash, more like a large, stand-alone expansion than a completely new production, although it should be remembered that Ubisoft has set the price at a much lower level than in the case of its standard AAA releases.
