First Screenshots from New Vampire The Masquerade

Apparently the new installment of Vampire: The Masquerade is finally coming out in the open. Although there was no official announcement from Paradox Interactive yet, what might be the first screenshot from the upcoming game has just surfaced on the web.

Ten days ago we informed about a mysterious website with a familiar-sounding name Tender. We are talking about an Alternate Reality Game created by Paradox Interactive, most probably used by the publisher to prepare the players for the announcement of a new title. Many people guess that almost fifteen years after the release of the iconic Bloodlines, the Vampire: The Masquerade series will see a new release. The game continues, dropping a next clue in the form of the following picture, probably the first screenshot from the enigmatic project, as well as some disturbing concept arts. In addition, there is a good chance that in the near future we will also see the publication of the first video footage.

Is this the first screenshot from the new Vampire: The Masquerade?

The above screenshot was brought to light via the Trust No More website. You can read that Tender is planning a special event that will take place on February 23 in New York. The participants will take part in special sessions lasting four hours, during which they will be divided into two groups (assignment to a given team will depend on the results of their biometric examination); their task will be to escape from a closed room.

If you want to join in the game (via the Internet or on the spot), you should go to the address where the original survey awaits you; there are questions about conspiracy theories, the paranormal and other similar phenomena which we believe in, emotions accompanying the use of Tender and.... how long we can hold our breath underwater. It should be noted that the invitations (ten of them) are to go only to selected individuals.

If it's really preparations for the announcement of the new Vampire: The Masquerade, we're going to have one bloody game on our hads.

The article is crowned with information on the progress of work on decryption of the data from which the graphics attached to the message were extracted. Based on the first of them (which was allegedly downloaded from a video footage and was only partially "decoded") we can conclude that the action of the game will be set in modern times - this is evidenced above all by the neon banner. The second one, i.e. the aforementioned "concept art", shows a bloody massacre in a bar or other similar place.

Although it is not certain that the event described above will actually take place (it may well take the form of an online reality game), we will probably learn more or see some new materials this Saturday. We'll keep you informed.

The fact that Paradox Interactive may be developing the continuation of the famous Bloodlines has been discussed as early as 2015, when the publisher acquired the rights to the World of Darkness and the Vampire: The Masquerade series. A few months later, White Wolf Publishing, a company owned by Paradox, registered the name Vampire Bloodlines. In May 2018, the CEO of Paradox, Fredrik Wester, confirmed that although the next entry in this iconic brand is "an obvious choice", it would have to start a completely new RPG cycle, forming the basis for further projects.
