ASSASSIN'S CREED ODYSSEY IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Developer: Ubisoft
  2. Publisher: Ubisoft
  3. Genre: RPG
  4. Platforms: PC, XONE, PS4, Switch
  5. Release date: October 5, 2018.

The the update 1.1.4 to Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be released today, introducing a lot of awaited novelties. These include a change in the controversial ending of the second episode of the Legacy of the First Blade expansion.

However, the biggest attraction of the update will be the New Game Plus mode. It allows us to restart our story campaign without losing character development, inventory, resources, money and ship and spear upgrades. The patch will also raise the maximum level of experience to 99.

The update will also bring a lot of other, smaller changes. It will fix many small technical issues and improve the balance of the game. Photo mode will be enriched with ten previously unavailable frames, and the menu will gain additional options for configuring the appearance of subtitles. In addition, new levels for mercenaries and ships will be added.

We have already seen some tangible changes to the controversial ending of the second episode of the Legacy of the First Blade expansion. If you haven't finished this DLC, we advise you to stop reading here in order to avoid spoilers. The whole affair was triggered by the fact that, regardless of the player's decision, the plot of the episode forced a romantic relationship with the character of opposite sex, whose fruit was a child. Patch will change this ending by modifying the dialogues and cut-scenes. The existence of a descendant seems to be essential to the plot, so we doubt that the update will remove them from the script, though. We will probably be able to simply choose to have a child out of the need to keep the bloodline alive, and not out of love.

Let's remind that Assassin's Creed Odyssey was released on October 5, last year, on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In Japan, the game is also available on Nintendo Switch thanks to streaming technology. The third and last episode of the Legacy of the First Blade will be released next month.
