Later today, at 10 AM PDT, the first expansion for the award-winning grim dungeon crawler Darkest Dungeon by Red Hook Studios is going live on Steam. The Crimson Court introduces a new storyline, which can be played alongside your existing campaign. With it the DLC brings along a new hero class, dungeon region called The Courtyard, full faction of hideous enemies and bosses, new buildings for your Hamlet as well as a bunch of secrets to discover and items to loot.
Darkest Dungeon: The Crimson Court, the first expansion to a successful dark-themed dungeon crawler from 2016, has received an exact release date – or at least its PC version has. The DLC is going to launch on Windows PC, Mac and Linux on June 19, 2017 at the price of $9.99. The release on PlayStation Network (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita) is not yet set in stone, but the guys at Red Hook Studios are aiming at the following month.
The creepy turn-based dungeon crawler Darkest Dungeon is going to get its first DLC in early 2017. The add-on entitled The Crimson Court is to include a new playable class, but no details were revealed so far. However, an image shared by Red Hook Studios suggests that the main theme of The Crimson Court DLC will be vampires – either we will be able to have one in our team or they will become a new enemy. The expansion pack will be available on PC (Windows, Linux), Mac, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
Everything Burns, an update for Red Hook Studios’ Darkest Dungeon, has been released. Apart from its main highlight, namely the so-called Town Events for The Hamlet, it introduces various enhancements and fixes to the entire game. The update also completes the final stretch goal of the Kickstarter campaign.
Darkest Dungeon has finally left Early Access and released in full version. In its latest update this dark-themed and extremely difficult roguelike RPG received several language localizations, achievements, New Game Plus mode, class-specific provisions, and other changes. This is not over for the title, as Red Hook Studios is planning to prepare free content updates in the future as well as to release the game on other platforms.
Darkest Dungeon received a new major update. The patch, nicknamed Inhuman Bondage, introduces a new playable hero, the Abomination, two new player-designed monsters, as well as a bunch of usable items. Apart from this new content, the dark fantasy RPG got some AI improvements and gameplay tweaks.
Red Hook Studios announced that Darkest Dungeon is coming out on January 19, 2016. In the meantime, early access players can expect a major update introducing a new playable hero: The Abomination, plus two new types of monsters, and more. The patch is slated for release toward the end of November.
