XCOM 2 fans have created an interesting co-op mod. The modification introduces cooperative gameplay for two players, and chances are that this will expand to 12 player co-op in the future. Tactical Co-Op is now available in beta version in Steam Workshop. Note, however, that it does not support turn timer missions and Ironman mode and may still contain some bugs.
2K Games and developer Firaxis Games released a 10 minute long XCOM 2 gameplay footage. The video sheds some light on the game’s various elements, including: HQ management, unit appearance addjustments, weapon modifications, world map etc.
Firaxis has announced that their upcoming turn-based strategy, XCOM 2, won’t have controller support at launch. However, the creators didn’t rule out the possibility that their production will also come to other platforms. This information may come as a surprise to many players, as the previous installment went to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and met with an extremely warm reception on these platforms.
Today, Firaxis has announced the production of a full-fledged sequel, which will be simply called XCOM 2. The game is due to make its debut in November this year on PC with Windows, Mac OS and Linux. So far, there’s been no mention of console versions. IGN has published a trailer for the game, which you can see above.
