13 Cozy Video Games for Hard Times

These are the hard times. If you're playing games, it's worth to use them to improve your mood with a nice, positive message, rather than shouting over the microphone at random players. Here are some heart-warming video games!

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

  1. Genre: action adventure game
  2. Developer: Ember Lab
  3. Year: 2021

There's much talk that last year's installment of Ratchet and Clank looks so good that it could as well be a Pixar animation. Though I partially agree with this statement, I believe that you should also remember another, slightly smaller title, which you can describe in exactly the same way. It's Kena: Bridge of Spirits, of course. The difference between it and Rift Apart is, however, that this is not a next-gen, high-budget exclusive on PS5, but a visually spectacular debut (!) of Ember Lab. Because when you introduce yourself to the world, that's how it is.

Kena and Pixar share more than a characteristic style of animating characters and surroundings (the creatures accompanying the title character are almost the essence of designer sweetness), because they also have a specific family atmosphere and cinematic narrative. The whole thing is set in a fantasy world, so magic and various creatures are on the agenda here. All this makes it easy to sink into this diverse world, or at least let it charm you.

The player has many different activities available in a large area. In addition to surprisingly demanding fights (especially those with bosses) and arcade sequences, we will also have to face a few environmental puzzles of logical nature. There's no way to complain about boredom during the game.
