15 Most-Wanted MMORPGs Coming in 2020

MMORPGs aren't dead – quite to the contrary, they're doing pretty well. In this article, we're taking a look at the most interesting projects that should be released between 2020 and 2021.

The Last Oasis

  1. We've been waiting for: a year
  2. When it's coming: 2021
  3. Distinguishing features: survival elements, walking vehicles

Last Oasis is definitely something else. Polish developers decided to combine elements typical of network survivals with MMORPG solutions. As a result, we get a world, in which the biggest threat is the scorching Sun, which we have to escape aboard wooden walker machines.

Players in Last Oasis will enact nomads seeking refuge. Joining clans will increase our chances of survival. It is necessary, however, to reckon with the fact that food and raw materials in this area will be limited. On top of that, there will also be other factions that want to expand. The core of the mechanics will be the Sun, turning everything to ash, forcing players to constantly migrate. Only the bravest will be able to venture to the wastelands to look for rare riches.

The biggest gimmick of gameplay will be the original, wooden machines. Some of them will be used for scouting, other for resource collection, and other still for combat. There will be huge mobile cities, and the nomads will be armed with grapple hooks, useful for quick movement.
