The top five of most important classics in the history of video game strategy titles opens with another high-profile production from Blizzard. Fans had to wait a really long time for the second installment of StarCraft, but in the end, despite a lot of criticism, the Californian studio proved it can deliver some of the best strategies on the market.

Creating a continuation of a great work from years ago is a task almost always doomed to failure. Especially if you have to wait for the sequel for 12 years. Across such a long period of time, fan expectations can grow to unimaginable proportions, and satisfying everyone becomes simply impossible, even for veterans like the team at Blizzard. Despite this, the developers succeeded in this difficult art, as Wings of Liberty, despite the criticism, was a huge success.

StarCraft II became one of the fastest-selling strategy games of all time, and its triumphant marcg was not stopped by even such a controversial decision as splitting the title into three separate parts. Today, the game is primarily an esports title. Even if it is not the most popular title in esports tournaments, it is constantly present in them, and multiplayer servers are visited by a constant and significant number of players.

They are the ones who create the community that remains true to this game, which is the most important benchmark of popularity in this type of productions. Also noteworthy is the fact that StarCraft II entered the canon of esports almost instantly, although on the day of its release it was not certain that it would succeed (although it was highly likely). All of this shows the strength of the brand and the studio behind it.
