Fortnite: Battle Royale

Manuals are for noobs!

Genre: survivor TPS

Target audience: for young players fascinated with battle royale, especially Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)

In 2012, a fairly new trend appeared in the video game market, called battle royale. The recipe is simple: dozens of people fight for guns and resources, with the final goal to be the last man standing on the shrinking map. This game mode resembles the Hunger Games – and this association is not accidental.

The most famous battle royale game is currently Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) from Bluehole Studio. Epic Games realized the potential, and jumped on the bandwagon with their own BR, Fortnite. It is the free mode of this game that has become all the rage with the youngest generation. How was this achieved? Fortnite doesn't just copy other games, isn't a calque of PUBG.

The island is pretty big.

Ok, I admit, the compass is nearly identical, the beginning of the game is nearly identical, as is the gameplay formula. Differences appear in the visual layer – PUBG strives for realism, while Fortnite opts for more cartoonish feel, with the world being rather unrealistic, and everything being slightly crazy. There are also discrepancies in the system of collecting raw materials (digging stones and cutting down trees) for the construction of fortifications to provide cover, or platforms that will let us reach inaccessible places.

The battle royale game mode is very thrilling, so emotions are intense, keep it in mind. Fortnite: Battle Royale is an exciting alternative to the realistic PUBG, also completely free and with smaller system requirements than Playerunknown's Battlegrounds.

WHERE TO BUY FORTNITE: BATTLE ROYALE?

You can't buy Fortnite: Battle Royale because ... the game is free (although it does have micropayments, of course). You can download it from the official website.
