What's Serious Sam 4?

The fourth installment of the popular dynamic shooter series, which focuses on old school solutions and seamless combat and waves of enemies flooding the screen. The first installment of the series was released in 2001, the third in 2011, and in the meantime the saga has also seen numerous revivals and spin-offs. All of them invariably developed by Croatian studio Croteam, which also produced part four is responsible for all of them. The game's plot takes place before the events depicted in Serious Sam 3.

What's gameplay like in Serious Sam 4?

The creators are betting on the classic formula of a sequel – more of the same thing, but better. Even more enemies than before, and even larger locations (although the game will retain a linear campaign structure and not offer a typical open world). One of the few novelties, however, will be vehicles, able to conveniently takes us to different places. A co-operative mode will return, in which we will face legions of enemies together with our friends.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

I can remember Serious Sam from its early days, when shooting was simply meant to be fun with powerful guns and hordes of enemies to eradicate. No storylines, no seasons, no skins – just opponents, pulsating music, funny graphics and us! The trailers to Serious Sam 4 give me hope for a return to this atmosphere. I'm hoping to get something like Doom Eternal, only in big, sunny spaces!
