The Best Android Games 2020

The first quarter is behind us, and we already have a pretty decent selection of mobile games to check. Especially now, when a lot of people have more time.

Legends of Runeterra

  1. Genre: card trading game
  2. Requirements: Android 5.0
  3. Distribution model: free-to-play with optional micropayments

There's no shortage of mobile card games on the market, however, but Riot Games decided they could compete with the others. How does Legends of Runeterra stand out against the competition? As a mobile port, it's quite successful. This title does not have high requirements, scales well to the smartphone screens, and its interface seems rather intuitive. It also deserves praise for its audiovisual aspect.

As for the gameplay itself, opinions are mixed. Legends of Runeterra is undoubtedly a more demanding card game than Hearthstone, but at the same time an easier title than MTG Arena. Random elements have been marginalised, but they still exist. The gameplay consists of several stages, so it's not enough just to lay out the cards on the table and wait for the opponent's move. However, balance and a certain monotony turn out to be problematic – despite the wide variety of cards, only a few decks are actually used in the end.
