The Menu is a cheeky satire and black comedy that quickly won the hearts of viewers and critics around the world. A couple goes to a remote island to taste dishes prepared by the best chef, but - as it soon turns out - something is seriously wrong there. We have class struggle, elements of horror, satire, even Kafka, savoring the things we shouldn't, and a bit of sensationalism.

And we have Ralph Fiennes: not an acting journeyman, but an artist. Some time ago I had the opportunity to see him live in the theater and it was a transcendental experience - Fiennes exudes his charisma and proves every time that he is one of the best in the business. And so it is in this film: as the chef of this unusual restaurant, he inspires both fear and laughter. Fiennes has not had such a role in the cinema for a long time and we can only be glad that he was nominated for a Golden Globe.
