What is the Crucible?

One of the mysterious, high-budget projects developed by Amazon's teams to enter the world of video games. Crucible was announced in September 2016 as a web-based science fiction shooter with elements of a survival simulator. Although the May release was recently announced, we still don't know anything beyond what was announced four years ago.

What's gameplay like in Crucible?

If the formula has not changed drastically over the past few years, then Crucible will offer matches for up to 13 players. A dozen other players will get to a large map, where they will fight to be the last man standing, along the way forging sketchy alliances, betraying others in the right moment, or just openly attacking everyone. The 13th user will play as the game master, able to activate various traps and making sure the coverage on Twitch is entertaining – the game is designed with the streaming platform in mind.
