Best Games You Might Have Missed in First Half of 2022

The loudest premieres effectively draw attention away from those smaller, but no less interesting productions. We have prepared for you a list of the best of the more obscure games.

Table of Contents

Norco

  1. Developer: Geography of Robots
  2. Platform: PC
  3. Average rating on Metacritic: 88%

Norco is the debut project of the Geography of Robots studio. They opted for a point'n'click adventure game, so if you miss similar creations, Norco will be perfect. The fun here is all about conducting conversations, finding necessary items and solving puzzles. A golden standard.

The plot takes us to a fictional version of the near future. We land in New Orleans, exhausted by a civil war that has ruined its industry and infrastructure. The main character tries to find his missing brother and returns to his homeland. It turns out, however, that this task will be much more difficult than it initially seems.

Norco offers a non-linear storyline shaped by the choices we make. However, this isn't all, because the problems we encounter can also be tackled in various ways. A single "right" solution is nowhere to be found here, as in many classic representatives of the genre. There's also a large amount of text to read, but this is not a problem, because it's written with great panache. The creators are very skilful in building the atmosphere, and they make fantastic use of pixelart style.
