Crude Classics. Games Full of Bugs that Players Love Anyway

Games are rarely perfect in technical terms. Sometimes, though, it is the least sophisticated productions that win the hearts of players with their history and atmosphere, making us willing to turn a blind eye on even the most ridiculous drawbacks.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a hybrid of Gothic and The Witcher. At the time, among other things, a massive accumulation of bugs. The technical imperfection was one of the flaws most often pointed out by reviewers of the Czech Warhorse studio. After the game's premiere, it featured some really annoying bugs. Those who were lucky experienced only some permeating textures or levitating NPC. Those less lucky - vanishing save files. Fortunately, the developers quickly rolled up their sleeves and began patching up their work. However, its initial condition still looks kind of poor considering that even after a few big patches, Kingdom Come: Deliverance still often surprises with both small and large bugs.

Procession, halt! We have to wait for the textures to load.

And yet this game has many devoted fans, who can't get away from it and who are not bothered by numerous bugs. This certain "clumsiness" of the game by the Czech Warhorse studio definitely distinguishes it from high–budget open worlds - sleek and perfected, but devoid of risky, more ambitious solutions. Kingdom Come: Deliverance stands out enough from other games like that so much that players can forgive the developers this flood of bugs – all the more so because we are talking about a team from Central Europe, not an American giant with a huge financial base. Warhorse's work may seem a little out of place, but it's a breath of freshness in open worlds, and if it fits your taste, you'll soon stop paying attention to its roughness.
