The publisher Annapurna Interactive has an unusual knack for finding small gems among games from independent devs that delight with execution, plot and characters, not necessarily extending the gameplay to dozens of hours. What Remains of Edith Finch or Telling Lies, and now 12 Minutes, from one of the creators of The Witness.

Just the story outline is really interesting. A police officer comes to our house and accuses our wife of murder. After a short scuffle, the hero we control is killed... just to wake up 12 minutes later, caught in a time loop. How to use the new info you get every time? How to escape this Groundhog Day? With such a story, it was not even necessary to strain too much with the artistic direction, however, it will be original, too, since we observe the action from the ceiling of a small apartment, which will deepen the feeling of claustrophobia and suppression. We have a feeling this will be one of the most interesting game of the coming year.

It's for you if:

  1. you like original games with interesting story;
  2. you liked the Groundhog Day;
  3. you're not claustrophobic – the entire game takes place in a small apartment.
