The Best Video Game Releases Coming in September 2021

With the summer slowly, and sadly, ending, we're entering a period of increased activity on the video games market. Although September brings a surprisingly varied offer of new games, we have a feeling that one title in particular will attract players...

Diablo II: Resurrected

Release Date: September 23, 2021

INFORMATION

  1. Genre: RPG
  2. Platforms: PC, PS4, XONE, PS5, XSX, Switch
  3. Approximate Price: Approx. $40 (PC, PS4, XONE, PS5, XSX, Switch)

Diablo II: Resurrected needs no introduction

The king of hack'n'slash is back... but is it really? It's certainly a classic and a legend, but whether it will be able to return to full glory is a debatable matter. Especially since we're talking about a cautious remaster which will not alter most of the original assumptions. We'll see if nostalgia will be enough of a driving force to keep players hooked on Diablo II: Resurrected for long.

Diablo II: Resurrected has no cow level

Diablo II: Resurrected, in contrast to Warcraft III: Reforged, is to deliver what it promised, that is, the classic game, on which many players grew up, just in a new visual setting. Due to the considerable age of the mechanics and a certain crudeness of gameplay, newcomers may deflect from this edition of Diablo II. On the other hand, it will surely be an interesting experiment. However, there's no doubt that in September, a great many people will cast themselves right into the portal to once again face the Lord of Terror.

Death Stranding: Director's Cut

Release Date: September 24, 2021

INFORMATION

  1. Genre: Action
  2. Platforms: PS5
  3. Approximate Price: $50 (PS5)

What's Death Stranding: Director's Cut?

Death Stranding is a specific game and that's probably the best way to describe it. Some appreciate the genius of Hideo Kojima, consider his work visionary, and praise the gameplay solutions. Others, on the other hand, scornfully describe this game as a courier simulator, which by the way is not far from truth. So, we have a game that evokes conflicting emotions. Will the Director's Cut convince the skeptics? I can answer right away – no.

Should you try Death Stranding: Director's Cut?

Death Stranding: Director's Cut is basically just more Death Stranding on PlayStation 5. This version has been tweaked for Sony's latest console to get the best out of it. Nevertheless, they also decided to make extensive changes in terms of melee combat, adding new weapons and a shooting range for practicing. There are new ways to deliver packages, additional missions to expand the storyline, and a variation on car racing. Thus, it's a love letter to fans to encourage them to revisit this title again.

New World

Release Date: September 28, 2021

INFORMATION

  1. Genre: MMORPG
  2. Platforms: PC
  3. Approximate Price: $40

What is the New World about?

You probably won't understand the frustration of a man who's announcing the release of an MMORPG from Amazon for the fourth time. This title has been postponed so many times, but all things seem to indicate that it will finally come out in late September. Let's hope so, because it's about time the New World showed up. Especially since there's a slight glut in the market right now, and the turmoil around World of Warcraft is the perfect time to snatch some players away from Azeroth to help populate the new Aeternum!

Will the New World finally be released?

If Amazon doesn't mess anything up, then New World will finally launch. Those looking for a slightly different MMORPG, geared more towards PvP and fighting for their faction, should be in for a treat. Also noteworthy is the specific combat system, based on light and heavy attacks, as well as performing dodges. Skills serve mainly as supportive aid in combat. New World also offers an open, picturesque world, and an unusual atmosphere. !
