Trackmania came out a long time ago...

The original game, entitled Trackmania, was released in 2003, quickly gaining the sympathy of gamers and becoming a wildly popular series. Trackmania 2020 is a remake of Trackmania Nations, released in 2006, which focused on e-sports. The game is developed by Studio Nadeo, who have been developing the series for seventeen years.

How is the Trackmania remake different from Trackmania Nations?

A noticeable difference from the first glance is, of course, the visual setting, created from the ground up using modern technologies. There will also be significant improvements to the physical model, which will allow for even more frenetic driving on full loops and loops. Traditionally, we have an extensive level editor enabling to create our own tracks. Basic game content (single and multi-player modes, editor, etc.) will be made available for free, but those who enjoy the game more will be able to choose to pay for one of two subscriptions, which also give access to content created by other players, e-sports and other attractions.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

July will be Christmas for fans of racers! F1 2020 -and the new-old Trackmania are enough to make it an exciting time. The latter follows a recent trend of two-month delays. But if the gameplay resembles Nations Forever – which reached millions of players – we will be talking about a huge success of Nadeo. Especially since this is to be the "target" edition of this series, as the authors do not want to create any more parts, in the future focusing solely on the development of this year's Trackmania. There's a risk of overdoing it, though, and following Trackmania 2, which was a big flop. I hope that doesn't happen.
