What's World of Warcraft: Shadowlands?
The king of MMORPGs has not been in the best shape of late and has had to save himself with a classic version of the game. Expectations for the latest addition are high – so it will either prove to be the nail in the golden coffin of World of Warcraft, or allow it to reach deep into players' pockets once again. Blizzard seems to be actually trying; before the release of this add-on, the level cap will be increased and the starting zones for both factions will be changed. The fixes are sweeping, but is that enough?
What's the storyline of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands?
This time, we leave Azeroth and go to the Shadowlands. Sylvanas defeated the Lich King, opened a passage to the lands of the dead, and formed an alliance with the main evil expansion, jailer. The heroes of World of Warcraft go in pursuit of the former Warchief Horde, and we go with them. We quickly find that the eponymous Shadowlands are not doing well. Over the course of the adventure, we meet many iconic characters with Uther the Lightbringer at the forefront and join one of the factions to gain access to new powers.
OUR EXPECTATIONS
Shadowlands after the average Battle for Azeroth is supposed to be the great return of World Of Warcraft to glory. New lands, new mechanics, redesigned leveling up, less grind, new story and the return of many of your favorite characters – it just can't go wrong. And yet, having learned from experience, we know well that it's not the release-day content, but rather the patches released in the years that follow will determine the success of the expansion. I will enter Shadowlands immediately after the release – I have already bought it, and am currently wrapping up my business in the Battle for Azeroth. I'm looking forward to months of fun and I believe it will work this time. Blizzard had it pretty rough lately, and I don't know if they can afford another mishap.
