Marvel's Heroes Who Need Their Own Movies!

For those less familiar with the comic book pedigree of superheroes, it may seem that MCU used all possible Marvel's heroes, adding a few new. But the truth is quite different – many of them are still waiting for their chance.

Namora/Namor

  1. What it should be: a series of blockbusters with spectacular CGI
  2. What would interest viewers to begin with: a refreshed version of the classic hero from Sub-Mariner: Marvels Snapshot #1

If internet memes were to be believed, Namor is the first superheroes created. However, this is not true. Although he was drawn as one of Marvel's first characters, he appeared after Jim Hammond. However, this does not change the fact that he is a true legend of the world of superheroes. First of all - Aquaman was created after Namor, not the other way around. It may seem obvious to comic book enthusiasts but many people still think otherwise. Especially after the success of the movie by DC.

Although Namor no longer occupies a central place in the comics of recent years, giving way mainly to familiar characters from the MCU, he often appears as a supporting character. And he can still bite. At one time, he was even able to win against the Hulk! In addition, he remains the king of Atlantis, and in the comic universe this place is as important as Wakanda in the MCU. Anyway, there were also attempts to introduce Sub-Mariner into the story. As an easter egg, Atlantis appeared in Iron Man 2, and it was probably also mentioned by Okoye in Endgame.

Namora is an interesting character as well. The first time she appeared on the cards of Marvel Comics was just after World War II - in 1947. The cousin of the King of Atlantis for many years was considered dead, but it turned out that – as often happens in comics – she somehow managed to escape death. But it's not the only thing that makes her story worthy of moving to the big screen. Her battle abilities are not limited to the ocean-she can also fly. Although this character is less popular than Namor himself, she has a similar marketing potential. And who knows, maybe soon both will come to the MCU. Although at the moment it is difficult to say how much truth is in this, according to one of the reports, they are to appear in Black Panther 2. Others point out that this will happen already in Eternals. We'll find out who's right soon enough.
