This movie is a recipe for success. Most likely, Sony has already noticed this, making preparations for the creation of a new hit of its mini-universe. Black cat, Felicia Hardy, is the perfect antiheroine. Complicated relationship with her father burglar and toxic environment made her quickly become a villain. However, when she did not pursue her own goals, she collaborated with Spider-Man, on whom she had a crush. At first, she had no supernatural abilities, using only the help of technology and efficient manipulation of opponents (they believed that she brings them bad luck). In subsequent comics, however, it turned out that Black Cat actually has superpowers. Previously, she simply did not realize their existence.
Silver Sable was hunting war criminals. However, over time, when their number began to decrease, this heroine was forced to work as a mercenary. And probably in the course of one of the actions she could potentially meet Black Cat in a movie that could eventually emerge. Could there be anything more lethal than a super-talented burglar and a martial arts-trained renegade? If Marvel MMA fame was created, both heroes would have to face each other in one of the fights of the evening... and then start working together.
People were talking about such film already two years ago, when successful women in mainstream cinema – Lindsey Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet-were hired as screenwriters. The latter, by the way, has a superhero show on her account, which no one needs to describe - she wrote the sript to Captain Marvel. Unfortunately, for now, the project is on hold. Sony seriously wonders if it would make any sense without Spider-Man (one just wants to shout: of course it does!). Due to copyright complications, he cannot appear in this film (only cameo is considered, but it seems unlikely). It's probably all about Morbius starring Jared Leto. If this production is successful - Black Cat and Silver Sable will also make it to the big screen. If not, we will have to count only on a change of management at Sony or the acquisition of the entire brand by Disney.
At one time a film about the Sinister Six was very close to be made – a group of supervillains allied in the fight against their greatest enemy – Spider-Man. They appeared separately on the big screen, but never got the whole show as a team. Which is a shame, because it's one of the more interesting teams in Marvel's darker side. The Sinister Six have included Sandman, Electro, Kraven, Vulture, Mysterio, Hobgoblin, Swarm, Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Sandwoman, Lizard, Shocker, Scorpion, Rhino and many others. Because yes, the six in the name has long ceased to mean the real size of the team. But that's good! In the crowd of schematic supervillains Sinister Six do not surprise with a extraordinary plot, but a great presentation of the character and unusual origins certainly so. Let's hope that in the new Spider-Man the team will at least be mentioned.
