Persona is among the most recognizable series, with numerous acclaimed installments, Persona 5 Strikers included. This is a spin-off of the jRPG Persona 5, depicting events taking place six months after the story from that game. Mysterious events across the country require once again the intervention of the main protagonist, Joker, and his team of phantom heart thieves.

The most distinctive decision taken in this game is giving up the turn-based combat system in favor of real-time fighting. This move brings the game closer to the slasher genre and the Dynasty Warriors series, whose creators actually developed Persona 5 Strikers. The plot supposedly didn't turn out as interesting as in the full-fledged installments of the series, but the item is a nice addition to the series. The new mechanics generally appealed to fans, being a nice diversification of a familiar formula. Maybe the spin-off will convince someone to start their Persona adventure this way?

After the excitement we experienced with A Way Out, and given the charisma of creator Josef Fares, expectations were high for his new production, It Takes Two. And in many ways, they have been fulfilled. The platformer adventure delighted us again with co-op mechanics. Only the story was a bit disappointing. The idea of putting the minds of a feuding couple into the bodies of dolls created by their slightly bitter daughter was a great move. The choice of a fairy-tale version of this family's house as the setting hit the bull's-eye. In the end, however, the characters were poorly outlined and the plot lacked some excitement, which cannot be said about the gameplay itself.

For the variety of mechanics is truly awe-inspiring. We're practically doing something different here all the time, always something new, and along come more stunning locations. One moment you're fighting a boss, the next you're solving an environmental puzzle, competing in a mini-game or balancing, jumping and avoiding traps. And it's all kept in a slightly surreal style, creating something akin to Toy Story for grown-ups. If only we have someone to play with, It Takes Two guarantees a lot of fun.
