Can you still remember?
This is an important question because we are talking about the 1997 movie Starship Troopers. It's quite an old production, rather forgotten today, and wrongly so – a science fiction satire like this one has stood the test of time, and isn't something that would be wildly popular. For many, it has even achieved cult status, so I wonder if the RTS based on it will also be remembered (positively) by players.
You will have plenty of reasons to cry
Starship Troopers: Terran Command is an RTS focused on base building. It's supposed to resemble They Are Billions, but in this case, expeditions to hostile areas will be of secondary importance. The gameplay is almost entirely based on building defense structures and repelling enemy attacks. You will have to use the terrain to deal with overwhelming forces while commanding a handful of soldiers with specific specializations. Interestingly, the game will bring a system of commands of superiors, following which will provide us with support, but always at some cost. However, we can always choose to disobey.
