Four Indie World Showcase Games You Can Already Play on Switch

Yesterday's Indie World Showcase brought about quite a few exciting games for Switch. Some of them are due to release later this year, but here are the games that you can already try for yourself.

Takeshi and Hiroshi – Build an RPG for your younger brother

Your younger brother Hiroshi can’t wait to play the next chapter of the RPG you’re developing. Set up engaging challenges, but remember, you aren’t trying to defeat your brother. Takeshi and Hiroshi is available now on the Switch.

Nintendo announced yesterday in their Indie World Showcase that Oink Games’ Takeshi and Hiroshi would launch the same day for the Nintendo Switch.

In this game, you play as Takeshi, older brother of Hiroshi, a young but aspiring game designer. To help distract and entertain your brother from time in and out of the hospital, you build chapters of an RPG called “Mighty Warrior” for him to play.

The game combines beautifully animated puppet style story sequences with the 2D animated RPG gameplay moments. The game was originally released exclusively on the Apple Arcade last November to great reception.

Takeshi’s RPG is not fully realized yet, but there’s no point in letting Hiroshi know that. Since the monsters can’t fight on their own, you must take control of them remotely, deciding which monsters to battle Hiroshi with and when.

The game is all about balancing challenge and success. These monster encounters are meant to push Hiroshi to his limit, but ultimately allow him to succeed.

Will you take on the task of building and running this RPG for your brother? Takeshi and Hiroshi is out now on the Nintendo eShop.
