Seven GTA Clones So Bad They Should Be Illegal

We know how well GTA sells. No wonder many studios want to create their own hit in the same style. Unfortunately, most of them die trying.

Ok, we're done with games that most people might have heard of, and headed into the more uncharted territory of games that failed at trying to imitate GTA, which is, of course, not an easy task. So it seems that such games can only hope for some popularity on mobile platforms.

In one of these games – Gangs of New York we become a police officer whose partner has been shot in action, and our job becomes to find the responsible criminals.

Make no mistake, though – the plot quickly turns dull, as does every other element of the game. Missions are monotonous (like "drive, kill, run"), there's not much to do in the available locations, and driving and shooting... well, it's not the best ones either. The only respite is the fact that this production is available for free, which was enough to get it more than 100,000 downloads on Google Play Store.
