What is The Medium?
The Medium is a psychological horror by the Polish studio Bloober Team, which previously released The Layers of Fear and Blair Witch. The upcoming game is expected to be their most ambitious and expensive project to date, on a par with AAA games. In The Medium, players assume the role of a woman with paranormal abilities. They will visit an abandoned hotel, where puzzles, mysteries, and fearsome adversaries will await them. The authors patented a unique gameplay mechanics that allow you to explore two dimensions (real and spiritual) simultaneously, and your actions in both places will have a direct impact on each other.
Nostalgic work of art
When you look at the available materials, the Polish game is impressive in virtually every aspect. The amazing scenes are inspired by the paintings of Zdzislaw Beksinski. The poignant soundtrack was prepared by Arkadiusz Reikowski and Akira Yamaoka – the author of the music for the famous Silent Hill series. Moreover, players will experience views with Polish interior design, locations, and cars from the period of the Polish People's Republic. Fingers crossed!
WHY AM I WAITING?
The Medium looks like Silent Hill, sounds like Silent Hill (that's thanks to Akira Yamaoka himself) and has been created by a team consistently learning how best to scare players – and having some success on the field. The action of the game takes place in Poland. As a big fan of the first installments of "Silent Hill," thirsty after the series was butchered leaving no worthy successor to it (we may have gotten a lot of cool horror games recently, but let's not kid ourselves, they couldn't massacre the psyche like the works of Team Silent), I really can't look at the Bloober project other than with unbridled enthusiasm. Please make it work!

WHY AM I WAITING?
I'm in the same camp as Michal. I miss Silent Hill. As a big fan of the Bloober Team, I am cautiously and optimistically looking forward to their biggest game. Until now, the gameplay has played a secondary role in their games, and the focus has always been on the atmosphere and the story. With its two trailers, The Medium is trying to prove that this production will not only be beautiful and incredibly atmospheric, but the proper gameplay will be much more than just walking around. The theme of two worlds between which you can instantly switch (hopefully!), appears as a small revolution. Well, at least for those who have forgotten Soul Reaver. Next to Cyberpunk, it's my most anticipated game of the coming months. And both are "made in Poland." It's a very nice prospect.
