Smash Hits Inbound! The Best Upcoming Games of 2020

The gaming world is beginning to wake up from the pandemic lethargy. The number of releases that will flood us starting from late summer is really impressive. Here are the most interesting games we're expecting in the last months of 2020.

What will Crash Bandicoot 4: It's about Time be?

Here's another return for the iconic brand after almost as long a hiatus as Microsoft's Flight Simulator. Crash Bandicoot 4 is a direct sequel to the 2007's third installment of the series. The three villains we trapped in that game somehow managed to get out and wreak chaos in the universe again. On top of that, it has created a huge hole in the space-time continuum. Playing as the ubiquitous Crash, one will have to thwart their plans again.

Merry and colourful

The fourth part of Crash attracts attention with extremely colorful, cartoon-like visuals. Here it all encourages you to keep jumping, spinning pirouettes, going around nooks and crannies, and picking up what you can. With Crash as the protagonist, exploration can be as interesting as it is to fight the bosses that appear every now and then. Other playable characters (not just Bandicoot) will also be introduced, and there also will be an occasional change of perspective to two-dimensional. It's going to be a lot of fun.

WHY AM I WAITING?

Activision has been proving for several years that it has a good "feeling" of forgotten mascots from the first PlayStation. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy have proven to be phenomenal remakes of classic platformers, and Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled is probably the only card game that can stand a chance against the Mario Kart series. It's About Time will be a test of whether Activision studios can do as well with creating such games from scratch as they can remaster the classics. I believe it will be OK – the trailer tempts with a great visual setting, rumors say there will be a lot of levels to jump through, and it also seems that the creators have no intention of trying too hard on the mechanics (which once almost caused the crash of Crash).
