Dark Souls – a hardcore series for hardcore gamers. The game is incredibly difficult and throws challenge after challenge at the player. It is this legendary level of difficulty that is one of the reasons gamers decide to play the Souls. We want to see in person whether the gameplay is really what people say, whether the creators from FromSoftware have overstepped themselves or let it go a little bit. Finally – we also want to finish what we started, beat the "wall" in the form of some boss.

On the other hand, there's also an incredible dark fantasy vibe, served up in an incredibly sparse but truly intriguing way. Unveiling the plot in Dark Souls is as much a challenge as the combat itself. It is worth reading descriptions of objects, looking into every nook and cranny, and even studying theories that appear on the web, because the world of Souls is extremely interesting. All of this makes the game tempt players with its "famous" impropriety, but once we get through the first stages, the satisfaction of being able to manage here will be truly immense, unparalleled to what we experience in other titles.

I started the series recently and still feel like a neophyte. So far, I've finished the first part and have started the third one. It ain't much but while playing, I learned so many fan theories and read so many plot descriptions that it would be enough for four novels. Experiencing the game was strange because over the years I had heard about its merits from a lot of different people and eventually found out that they were 100 per cent right, but I couldn't comprehend it until I played. I was like a man who was told about the rainbow until he saw it for the first time in his life.
