Here's a list of totally free mobile games for Android, which not only offer a lot of fun, but are also completely fair when it comes to money. Enjoy!

When it comes to mobile games, the payment model is one of the most relevant questions. There's a slew of games that are available for free, but they usually come with more or less invasive premium shops that offer various types of powerful items that greatly facilitate gameplay. Often, using them is optional in theory, but with time, it turns out to be practically obligatory if we want to be able to continue playing – this deceptive model is called pay-to-win. That's why we decided to assemble a list of games that are available for free – simply, and without any deception.

Below, you will find thirteen free games for Android. What was the criteria? First of all, we found it important to give you games with real gameplay, rather than any kind of clickers, for example. In addition, we wanted them to be games without intrusive micropayments – unfortunately, avoiding them completely is nigh impossible in this type of games, which is worth bearing in mind.

OpenTyrian

  1. Genre: shoot 'em up
  2. System requirements: Android 8.0 or later
  3. Microtransactions: none!
  4. In essence: probably the best free shmup ever

I once heard the opinion that emulators offer the best form of gaming on mobile devices, allowing you to play old games, or fan-made conversions of the classics. There is something to it, because it was hard for me to resist trying Tyrian in the Android version. OpenTyrian is a special edition of the classic shooter from 1995. Remember the Space Invavders' clones?

This is exactly this type of a game, available on mobile devices. I can tell you that it works great, and the graphics have not aged at all. All thanks to anti-aliasing and appropriate resolution – simple solutions made OpenTyrian turn from archaic to quite the opposite! The game is extremely fun, there are several modes to choose from, but I warn you that the pace of the game turns out to be a bit faster than in the original.
