The Best Games Releasing in February 2021

The beginning of the year wasn't so bad, so how does February compare to it? There are no spectacular premieres this month, but everyone should find something of interest.

Rustler

Release date: February 18, 2021

INFORMATION

  1. Genre: Sandbox
  2. Platforms: PC
  3. Approximate price: TBA.

What is Rustler?

Rustler developers describe their game as "Grand Theft Horse;" a medieval parody of the first two installments of GTA. We'll get a top-down perspective, stealing horses, and slowly climbing up the ranks of the criminal underworld. As a robber, we will have to do everything in order not to get caught. We soon find out that it won't be easy at all, and that the Middle Ages were governed by their own laws.

What to expect from a medieval grand theft horse?

Rustler is not to be taken seriously. The medieval setting has nothing to do with reality, and all the action in the game was invented for the purpose of this parody. For this reason, it's full of references to pop culture, or winks to the player. It's a tongue-in-cheek take on GTA that allows us to fight with pitchforks, steal horses, and ambush merchants on the trail. All to make a big name for us in the village. Rustler is only releasing in Early Access in February.

  1. More about Rustler

Our expectations

The idea of moving the gameplay of the first GTA installments to the Middle Ages may seem strange. However, I've seen a lot of craziness in this industry – and although at first I was wary of the catchy slogans, with subsequent gameplays available online I was getting more and more excited about Rustler. There is a "but." Will the game's format actually be a refreshing experience, or will the police horses and bards hired as radio stations be merely gimmicks designed to doop us? I'll check it out for sure, because Rustler is the most interesting game releasing this month IMO, and I've been craving it for a few months now.

Mike Pajda

Once upon a time, GTA was a meaningless game where you drove over people, ran from the police, rammed roadblocks, and searched for the tank. The new GTA is definitely better, deeper, more interesting and richer, but sometimes, I miss that crazy formula... Then I launch GTA 2 and have enough after 15 minutes. I'm eager to see if something new can be created with this formula.
