Clash of Clans
- Genre: RTS
- Microtransactions: plenty of opportunities to boost the tedious grind and other options which allow you to decrease the time of recruiting troops
Clash of Clans may seem to have had its best years behind it, but it's still an extremely popular game. Unrivalled in its genre, because this style of gameplay has already earned its own category. This is a variation on classic real-time strategies. As a player you receive a small base, which you have to expand and ensure it a constant supply of gold. In addition, you have to train the army, set up fortifications and build defense towers. All this in order to prepare for the upcoming invasion.
Clash of Clans is based on rivalry and tough competition between players. In order to develop, you must attack other player's bases. As you may have already guessed, other players can launch an attack on your fortifications too. There is no energy system here, that would allow you for a constant gameplay. The only problem is that with time it becomes strenuous and it takes a long time to produce new units or structures. On the other hand, the gameplay itself is so simple and intuitive that it does not require strategic skills – affordability is its greatest advantage.

STAR WARS: COMMANDER – A BIT MORE SERIOUS CLASH OF CLANS
If you don't like the cartoonish graphics design of Clash of Clans, maybe it's worth to try an alternative game set in the Star Wars universe? Star Wars: Commander is a successful clone that adds some extra spice to the gameplay, and is characterized by a higher level of difficulty and complexity. So if you're looking for a more serious production, then... May the Force be with you!
