Video Games of March 2021 - Best Releases of the Month

We're slowly saying goodbye to winter and things seem to be getting hotter on the northern hemisphere! It's not only about the weather and climate change, but also about the game releases, which look much better in March than previous months of 2021.

Table of Contents

Magic: Legends

Release Date: March 23, 2021

INFORMATION

  1. Genre: action RPG
  2. Platform: PC
  3. Approximate price: Free

What is Magic: Legends?

Are you a staunch opponent of the Epic Games Store and have only found room in your heart for Steam? Turn back from this road as soon as possible, because the open beta of Magic: Legends will start on the former platform soon. Magic: Legends is an action-RPG in the world of Magic: The Gathering that will be available for free and promises no aggressive monetization. You will find various items or specializations, but they will not give you any gameplay advantage over other players. Yes, it will be an online game!

Magic: Legends won't unleash a revolution, but it looks really solid

Magic: Legends tries to make the most of the card universe. The character classes are modeled after the elemental forces, and types of game styles from Magic: The Gathering. We will build our planeswalker by selecting cards that correspond to skills. We can have up to twelve abilities in our hand, but we will only use four at any given time. As a result, we will be able to adjust the actions and capabilities of our character to the situation on the battlefield, or a specific enemy.

Yakuza 6 on PC/XOne

Release Date: March 25, 2021

INFORMATION

  1. Genre: action
  2. Platforms: PC, XOne
  3. Approximate price: TBA

What is Yakuza 6?

Another title that forgot to arrive on other platforms besides PlayStation 4. Fortunately, after almost three years, the game will release on PC and Xbox One. In this installment, we will once again play as Kazuma Kiryu, the protagonist of the previous parts of Yakuza.

You should definitely check out Yakuza 6!

Kazuma Kiryu is released from prison and must find out what happened during his absence. He quickly discovers that things are not going well, and is forced to take action. We will visit Tokyo's Kamurocho and Hiroshima's Onomichi. We will try to solve problems through dialogue, but we will definitely use our mad fighting skills more often. The combat system surely deserves attention, as combining attacks into combinations is more satisfying than in any game of the kind. As it happens in Yakuza, in addition to the main story, we will also get side quests with colorful characters, unusual situations, odd ideas and addictive mini-games. You'll catch yourself spending more doing these activities than with the actual game!

What is It Takes Two?

Are you familiar with A Way Out? The team responsible for this title has created a new arcade platformer with an interesting theme. Rose's parents are planning to get a divorce. The distraught girl creates two dolls: one of clay and one of wood. For some unexplained reason, her parents' consciousnesses are transferred to these toys, simultaneously ending up in a fairy-tale land. It turns out that if Mom and Dad want to regain their human form, they need to mend their relationship.

Why does it take two to tango?

As the above plot description revealed to you, It Takes Two focuses on a successful relationship between two people working together. And that's directly translated into the mechanics. This production is oriented towards two-player cooperation, who become Rose's parents. There's an option to play solo with artificial intelligence, but the whole thing is designed to be played with another person, and only then reveals its true potential. For this reason, It Takes Two offers "free access for friends." So, all it takes is one person to buy this game, and they can invite someone from the same console family. Unfortunately, the game does not support cross-play between different gaming platforms.
