Dolmen
Dolmen, Prime Matter, 2022
Another game whose creators failed to meet both their own ambitions and the expectations of fans of the genre. Massive Work Studio's production falls into soulslike category, but we fear that this choice was made not to deliver groundbreaking gameplay, but rather to feed on FromSoftware games' popularity. This saddens us, as this is not enough to make a good soulslike - especially one set in space.
The list of accusations is large - ubiquitous bugs, unengaging story, boring locations, bad weapon balance and unpolished hitboxes. However, if you still want to try out the game, wait for it to go on sale. At the moment, the price of the game ($45) is little too much. Moreso that you can use that money to buy one of the installments of Dark Souls.
