Decimated creatures discovered that they can control human bodies and they intend to take advantage of this ability. The gameplay in Ambition of the Slimes focuses on turn-based battles that take place on a tactical map. The fights are strongly unusual due to the abilities of the slimes.

The game takes us to a fantasy world where we play as a boy named Allen. He's a recruit in the Rebel Army that fights to put an end to the tyrannical rule of Count Kraniss. As we play, we take part in turn-based battles that take place on grid-covered maps.
