Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

An action-adventure game with survival horror elements. You play as a group of divers trapped underneath the ice of the Arctic Ocean, trying to find a way out. The game focuses on exploration, but the ocean dwellers can attack the protagonist at any given time. The matters are made even worse by the fact that you are constantly running out of oxygen.

A roguelike FPS, in which we play as a space pirate robbing alien ships. Gunhead tasks us with traversing procedurally generated vessels, gunning down everything in our way. It's a sequel to Cryptark and was developed by an indie studio Alientrap.

Four people take on the role of healthy patients trying to escape and the other two are bloodthirsty monsters, the aim of the latter is to hunt the rest of the players and prevent them from completing the mission.

Action game enriched with tactical elements, in which players take on the role of agents fighting against each other in three-dimensional arenas. Although in Trap Runner we can use melee attacks and firearms, the basic weapon used by the heroes are murderous traps, which become invisible to enemies when set up.
Tom and Jerry in House Trap

Playing Tom and Jerry in House Trap is about setting ingenious traps on an unsuspecting opponent and wrapping him in everyday objects. Formicide

A two-dimensional action game developed by Rock Wall Games. The players assume control of a unit of bloodthirsty ants that fight against other teams on two-dimensional arenas. The gameplay of Formicide is very similar to the famed Worms series, with a small exception – the game is much more dynamic, as the combat takes place in real time rather than in a turn-based system. We are left with a few typical game modes and numerous two-dimensional, terraformable zones.
Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn

Players again fight hordes of opponents, both in single and multiplayer mode, developing the abilities of selected pilots and improving their machines.

Multiplayer-oriented, third-person action game which is a network sequel to the bestseller Sleeping Dogs. The same development studio, United Front Games, is responsible for the creation of the game. Unlike the original, in the game we don't play the role of a law enforcement officer, but a member of the Triad, and our task is to recruit a gang and build our own criminal empire.

The title was created by Cyanide studios, the creators of many cycling games, the Blood Bowl series and the Of Orcs and Men RPG. The protagonist of the game is Styx, a character known from Of Orcs and Men. The title is an action game focused on sneaking up and silently eliminating enemies.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark

BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea - Episode Two

However, this time we play not as Booker DeWitt but Elisabeth, who was previously an independent character, herself. The heroine wakes up in unknown circumstances with a pistol aimed at her face. She makes a promise which saves her from death. According to this obligation, she is supposed to help a group of people led by Atlas in their return to the underwater city of Rapture.

The action of Metro 2033 takes place in the tunnels of the Moscow subway that now shelters the survivors from dangerous mutants.

This is a cartoon arcade in a cartoon environment, consisting of duels with the use of various humorous means of extermination. The authors introduced only a few cosmetic amendments to the original, focusing in particular on the issue of balancing the level of difficulties.
RIVE

A two-dimensional platformer game inspired by the classic, side-scroll representatives of the genre. It was created by Two Tribes – a Dutch developer popular mainly for the arcade-logic Toki Tori series. RIVE takes the player to an unspecified region of the galaxy, where they face an army of hostile robots, having taken control over a modern-day combat drone.
