Return to Mysterious Island 2 is a sequel to an adventure game published in 2004, referring to the novel "Mysterious Island" by Julius Verne. The main character is again Mina, and the player is supposed to help her to restore the barriers protecting the title island before it is destroyed by the approaching catastrophe. Kheops developers have remained true to the classic point & click interface, but have introduced new gameplay elements, including the ability to steer a monkey named Jep.
