Controlled characters collect items and use them in puzzles in order to push the story further. Adventure games usually offer only single player mode and the point-and-click interface. The story of Dead Secret takes place in the 60s. During the game player assumes the role of a journalist who is trying to solve the mystery of the death of an eccentric professor, exploring the rooms of his mansion and gathering various items, hidden documents, evidence, and clues.
Fated: The Silent Oath

An episodic action adventure game by Frima, set in the mythical world of the Vikings. The title was designed with VR headsets in mind. Fated: The Silent Oath was developed by a former writer for the Assassin’s Creed series and focuses on a certain family that faces Ragnarok, which is the Nordic counterpart of the end of days. We assume the role of the father who tries to protect his loved ones from the wrath of gods. The action is shown from the first-person perspective.

A two-dimensional point ‘n’ click adventure game developed by the independent studio Tendershoot in cooperation with A Jolly Corpse. The title’s plot follows a clown named Dropsy who got lost after a fire in his circus and tries to find a new place for himself in the world. The gameplay is based on exploration of subsequent locations and solving the encountered problems and puzzles.

During the game the player assumes the role of the titular adventure seeker and treasure hunter named Preston Sterling, who is examining the secrets of various myths and legends from the British Isles. As one could guess, each of his adventures is filled with various dangers and the protagonist will encounter many characters, not all of whom are friendly towards him.

The protagonist enters a fantastic world brimming with secrets in order to find his sister. A three-dimensional platformer based on the popular TV series Adventure Time and requiring virtual reality goggles. Players take ion the role of the series’ protagonist, Finn, who along with shape-shifting dog Jake traverse a fantasy land of Ooo, trying to lift the curse of the titular Magic Man. Gameplay focuses on classical features, like jumping on platforms, avoiding traps and obstacles, and lastly – fighting with enemies, all of which is shown from third-person perspective.

It tells a story of mysterious threat that can eradicate all living creatures in galaxy. We play as a space pilot that tries to find out the source of this danger and stop it. While originally the titles were PC exclusives, Amnesia: Collection has been released only for PlayStation 4 console. First of those games is set in a grim castle, with players controlling Daniel, an amnesiac who must find and defeat the mad owner of the building. Its add-on, Justine, puts us in a role of a woman who is part of a psychological experiment.

The player assumes the role of an android named Jack, who serves at a space ship. The action of Root Letter takes place in present-day Japan, with players taking control of a thirty-something man who discovers long forgotten letters that he had exchanged fifteen years ago with a penfriend named Aya Fumino. Her last letter contains a murder confession, and states that she has to atone for her sin. After that, she suddenly broke off all contact.

The player assumes the role of a housemaid, who decides to solve the mystery behind the mysterious disappearance of the Victorian residence’s inhabitants. The gameplay in Weeping Doll is presented from a first person perspective, and focuses on exploration, searching for story clues and keys, and finally solving various riddles which involve object manipulation.

An unusual adventure game, in which you play as a personal photographer of a beginning pop idol dreaming about a show-business career. Sonicomi was developed by Japanese company Nitroplus, specializing in visual novels. They are also known as the creators of e.g. Steins;Gate and Guilty Crown. The protagonist, Super Sonico, is the developer's mascot and has her own anime and comic book series, and appears on a multitude of gadgets.

Players don’t control the painter himself, but his daughter – she learns that after the death of her father, the house now belongs to her.
